Qualitative and quantitative assessment of complex electric generators for welding processes

The test generator (1) is subjected to a controllable load (2) according to at least one pattern within the working range. The variation of the voltage and current or their mathematical combination as a response to this load pattern is compared with an associated qualification pattern. Deviations from the qualification pattern are used as a qualifying measure for the generator.
