Forklift truck with lifting gear and load grip

The forklift has a counterweight and lifting gear (1) with lifting carriage (2) to which a load grip (3) is fitted. The load grip (3), together with the load (4), can be turned, roughly through a right angle, about a horizontal transverse axis. The carriage can be lifted in the upturned position with the grip, and load to a height at which the driver has a clear forward field of vision. The load grip can be on an attachment to the carriage. It has two vertical arms (15) extending above the carriage. The transverse axis is at the top end of the arms.
