The dashboard consists of a hollow profile of constant cross-section attached to the vehicle's frame so that it takes some of the forces exerted on the frame. The profile is also connected to a cross beam (14) by a panel (13). A vertical panel (15) is attached to this cross beam so that a storage space is formed above the first panel. The profile has cut-outs (28) which face the inside of the vehicle. The cut-outs are used to mount instruments, a glove box, heater outlets, etc.
