Plug connector arrangement with means of fixing connecting parts together

A plug connector has two mating parts (1, 2) with one of them (1) locating in a recess in the other. The inserted part has a plunger element (3) that engages the ends of a pair of cranked levers that are pivot-mounted (7, 7') on to the main body. When axial pressure is applied to the plunger the free ends of the levers engage slots (5, 5') in the housing to secure two parts together.
