METHOD FOR CONTROL OF TURBULENCE IN BOUNDARY LAYER OR IN OTHER AREA OF MEDIUM FLOW BORDERLINE TO WALL

FIELD: action on fluid media. SUBSTANCE: control is effected through local introduction of two separate disturbances into turbulent zone at wall; these disturbances are effective for creation of combined disturbing filed in local zone which is firmly bound with skew propagating structure and is used for modification of them by the method which increases or decreases interaction of propagating structure with system of pairs of vortices, thus locally intensifying or weakening turbulence in area of flow. One disturbance may be caused by interaction of medium with linear strip or row of strips of delta-shaped projections provided on wall in width of flow (i.e. across flow) and other disturbance may be caused by introduction of sound energy into local zone. Besides, use may be made of linear strip or row of wing-shaped projections for creation of pair of vortices of opposite direction. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
