FIELD: medicine; oncology. SUBSTANCE: oncologist must proceed to analysis of dynamic aspect of variations in eosinophil content in patient's peripheral blood in process of radiation therapy. If eosinophil concentration is ≥ 4% and that of lymphocytes is > 0.3 g/l at 15th-30th day after starting dosed radiation therapy, high sensitivity of tumor to radiation (radiative pathomorphosis of III-IV degree) is prognosticated, whereas with eosinophil concentration of < 3% under same conditions weak sensitivity of tumor to radiation (radiative pathomorphosis of I-II degree) is prognosticated. No additional investments are required to put method into practice. Proposed method can be used for combined and complex treatment of patients suffering from cancer of lactiferous gland. EFFECT: method is simple, accessible and money-saving. |
