FIELD: medicine; roentgenology. SUBSTANCE: first child's column roentgenogram is taken in side projection, in position when spinal column is unbent to maximum. Lines are passed through apical point of upper articulation process and point of its base, both points being located on arc of upper and lower vertebrae defining kyphosis arc. Angle formed by intersection of these lines and opened upwards is measured in degree, and at angle value of above 5 deg. pathologic kyphosis case is diagnosed. EFFECT: method makes it possible to diagnose pathologic kyphosis of spinal column in children affected with osteochondropathy of heavily deformed vertebral bodies. |
