The watertight electrical connector has a main body (5) of hard plastic with an inset block of sealing material (2) and through which the connecting wires pass (10). The apertures are sized and shaped to ensure that an effective seal is obtained. This is enclosed by a cover (3). The housing has a central insert with contact bushes that are engaged by the connecting plug. A latching feature (8) is provided to secure the parts together.
