Formable rotating abrasive tool for use with drill on concave surfaces

The tool comprises a basically cylindrical body(1) made from an elastically compressible porous material e.g. plastic foam, with an axial central hole through which a carrier element (2,3) is fitted. End plates (4) compress the cylindrical body, axially, when the carrier element is turned. The surface of the body, including the end faces, is directly coated or has a cover surfaced with abrasive material. As the cylinder is compressed axially, it shortens in length and expands sideways. Its typical form would be one with the carrier element head in a recess formed in the end face and a convex shape. The spindle fits on a drill drive shaft.
