The valve mechanism comprises a shaft (1) with an axis of rotation and which effects the rotary movement for the valve mechanism. A rotating body (10) is mounted to rotate in relation to the shaft. An intermediate member (20) encompasses the shaft, is located in the axial direction alongside the turning rotating body, and can turn in relation to the shaft, and has a drive connection to the shaft via a first sliding guide (15) and a first transmission element (40), and connected to the rotating body via a second guide (16) and second transmission element (70).
