The refuse heat treatment process comprises mixing low-calorie refuse with dry stabilised property-retaining residual refuse for exothermic treatment in various kinds of incinerator. The mixing of the components takes place before the treatment process. Higher calorie additional fuel may be added during the treatment. The low-calorie material or a mixture of it producing dry stability may be added during the ongoing thermal process. The specified materials may also be burnt with the addition of secondary raw materials such as wood, paper or plastics.
