METHOD FOR POLISHING FLAT SURFACES OF ARTICLES

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: for higher quality of polishing flat surfaces of articles it is proposed to impart rotating lobe-type wheel and article being treated with relative movements and to perform deformation of wheel lobes before zone of treatment with the help of lubricating and cooling technological means rigidly connected with article and located at one level with surface being treated. Aforesaid means is subjected to ultrasonic oscillations in direction parallel to relative movement of lobe-type wheel and article being treated. Lobe when striking technological means is deformed uniformly in width and its working surface is coated with layer of that means at high degree of uniformity ensured by action of oscillations. EFFECT: high efficiency.
