摘要 FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: salt of an alkali metal in amount up to 1 per cent of fuel consumption is added to fuel supply main 4 feeding fuel from tank 8 through valve 7 and proportioner 6; thus combustion products become ionized. Due to action of crossing electromagnetic fields caused by permanent magnets 2 and electrodes 3 fitted on air intake 1, forces act on ions irrespective of their sign which are directed towards jet nozzle rise to initial pressure in combustion chamber. With the beginning of motion pressure in combustion chamber starts rising due to rise of velocity head of incoming flow and becomes sufficient for operation of engine as standard ramjet engine. At this moment valve 7 closes, electrodes 3 are deenergized and ramjet engine starts operating in cruising mode. Engine differs from standard ones in position of additionally parts which are located inside housing, outside the gas-dynamic duct without impairing its characteristics in cruising mode. Start process may frequently repeated. EFFECT: creation of starting thrust at retained characteristics in cruising mode; reuse of staring process. 1 dwg
