FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technique of deoxidation and refinement of low-carbon balanced steels and may be used for producing high-quality rolled stock. Invention is aimed at reducing intake of manganese-containing ferroalloys and increasing quality by way of reducing serum and nonmetal inclusions' content. The aim is achieved through smelting intermediate product in iron casting assembly, cutting off furnace slag, discharging non-deoxidized metal into ladle, introducing carbon-containing materials, aluminium, lime, and manganese-containing material when discharging smelt into ladle, and blowing through with inert gas after completion of smelt discharge, the above process being distinguished with that, as manganese-containing material, oxide manganese-containing material is used and carbon-containing material intake per 1 t of steel is determined from equation:where [C] is carbon content in metal when discharged, %; a is a coefficient equal to 0.04 - 0.06 kg/t; and 0.008 is coefficient, kg/t %. Within the period when ladle is being filled to 1/4-2/3 its height, ladle contents is supplemented with oxide manganese-containing material, silicon (e.g. in the form of 65% ferrosilicon) mixed with aluminium and lime at ratio of total manganese content in oxide manganese-containing material, silicon, aluminium, and lime being (2.0-3.0):(0.6-1.1): (0.35-0.55):(0.8-1.3), whereas silicon intake is 2.3-3.7 kg per 1 t steel in ladle. EFFECT: reduced consumption of manganese-containing ferroalloys and improved quality of product. |
