FIELD: electrolytic processes and aluminium production. SUBSTANCE: high-purity aluminium is produced by electrolytic refinement wherein, on outlet of refinement bath and with no further treatment, content of rare-earth metals is lower than 100 parts per billion and common content of uranium and thorium is below 20 parts per billion. Resultant high-purity aluminium is chiefly used for applying metal coatings in electronic circuits. EFFECT: increased purity of aluminium and reduced cost.
