FIELD: section mills. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to rolling of profiles in combination with subsequent separation of workpiece in line of mill followed by multistory rolling. Proposed process of rolling and separation includes single-strand rolling of billets, formation of produced workpiece for separation, its separation and later formation of three stands. Cross-section area of central part of workpiece is enlarged relative to cross-section areas of its two extreme parts. Ratio of area of central part to that of each extreme part amounts to (1.05-1.20):1.0. Tripled workpiece is formed in the form of three ovals joined with straps along minor axes. Central oval is produced with relation of minor and major axes equal to 1.0: (1.05-1.15). In process of preparation for separation cross-section areas of each part of workpiece are equalized. EFFECT: increased separation efficiency due to creation of stresses in metal in points of separation. 4 cl, 6 dwg |
