METHOD OF ELECTRON-BEAM WELDING

FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: in proposed method X-ray radiation intensity in weld root is measured and depth of penetration is corrected according to control signal. Focusing system current is additionally modulated and intensity of spectrum components of penetrating X-ray radiation with frequencies multiple of modulation frequency is measured and basing on their level, depth of penetration is determined. EFFECT: improved quality of welding owing to higher accuracy of stabilization of penetration depth.
