The invention concerns a safety device (S) designed to prevent objects dropping from roofs, in particular for use on roofing sites, the device having at least two clamps (4) designed to be fixed to a rafter (6), plus supports (2) which project up out of the area covered by the roof and between which a safety wall in the form of a grille extends. In order to produce a reliable safety device which is easy to handle, the invention proposes that the supports (2) are located in a plane (E-E) adjacent to the mouths (8) of the clamps (4) and that the open clamp mouths (8) are oriented at right angles to this plane (E-E). |
