An electronic device such as recording and/or reproducing device for a recording medium, which accommodates a recording/reproducing section and an electroacoustic transducer such as a speaker unit or an electronic circuit in a casing. At least a part of the casing is made of magnesium or a magnesium alloy having excellent vibration absorbing properties so as to damp the vibration generated from sections and members accommodated in the casing. Influences of vibration from the sections and members on one another are eliminated. Hence, excellent recording and/or reproduction of information signals can be accomplished, and acoustic reproduction with high sound quality and excellent reproduction characteristics can be accomplished. <IMAGE>
