<p>A cord switch (10) comprises a flexible hollow cord member (12) which includes a predetermined wall portion (12A) and an opposing portion (12B) which generally opposes to said predetermined wall portion (12A) and has a transverse cross sectional configuration in which a neutral axis (N) of said cord switch is provided at the predetermined wall portion side (12A) of the center of the distance between said predetermined wall portion (12A) and said opposing portion (12B), a contact portion (14) which is disposed inwardly of said hollow cord member and extends on a portion of said predetermined wall portion (12A) along the longitudinal direction of said hollow cord member, and a contact body (20) which is disposed apart from said contact portion (14) and extends along the longitudinal direction of said hollow cord member, the contact body being disposed inwardly of said hollow cord member and extending from said opposing portion (12B) to the portions between said predetermined wall portion and said opposing portion in said hollow cord member, as viewed from a transverse cross section of said hollow cord member. As a result, since the neutral axis (N) of the cord switch (10) is provided at the predetermined wall portion side of the center of the distance between the predetermined wall portion (12A) and the opposing portion (12B), the cord switch is more bendable at the opposing portion of the cord switch, so that the mounting of the cord switch on a corner portion of a window frame (23) of a window glass of a vehicle can be facilitated.</p> |
