The method uses an electric motor (1) with electromagnetic brake (2) which drives a measuring equipment through pulleys (3,5) and belt (4). The measuring equipment comprises the wheel to be balanced (9), two bearings (7,8) equipped with piezoelectric sensors, a coder (6) and electronic power and control cards. The wheel to be balanced is rotated and the unbalances are measured. The inertia of the wheel is measured and the balancing masses required are calculated in weight and position. The wheel is stopped in positions corresponding to the placement of the balancing masses using phase controlled energy supply to the motor. |
