PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect the displacement of a blade in the axial direction without being affected by the change in the magnetic characteristics, temperature, etc., of the blade from the start of cutting. SOLUTION: In a blade 10 having circular inner diameter blade 11 for cutting a work 30, the first distance sensor 21 is placed close to a work cutting position to oppose the blade 10. At a position which is separated from the first distance sensor 21 in the blade circumference direction and in which positions in a blade diameter direction are almost equal, the second distance sensor 22 is made to oppose the blade 10. The difference between the change in the detected value of the first distance sensor 21 from the start of cutting and the change in the detected value of the second distance sensor 22 is obtained, and the true displacement of the blade 10 is obtained from the difference. |
