PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition containing a nonionic surfactant, a nonionic gelling agent, and a dissolution-accelerating agent in a specific ratio, excellent in solubility and washability and little in the bleeding of the surfactant on a long period storage. SOLUTION: This nonionic detergent composition comprises (A) 10-50wt.% of a nonionic surfactant [e.g. a polyoxyethylene alkyl(alkenyl) ether produced by addition-reacting 5-15 moles of ethylene oxide to a 10-18C aliphatic alcohol, or a fatty acid alkyl ester alkoxylate of the formula: R1 CO(OA)n OR2 (R1 CO is a 6-22C fatty acid residue; OA is a 2-4C alkylene oxide adduct unit; n is 3-30 on the average; R2 is a 1-3C alkyl], (B) 0.1-30wt.% of a nonionic gelling agent (e.g. 12-hydroxystearic acid), and (C) 0.05-10wt.% of a dissolution- accelerating agent (e.g. a nonionic surfactant such as a sorbitan fatty acid ester or a condensed phosphate salt such as sodium tripolyphosphate). |
