<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission quality by decreasing the number of spreading codes to be transmitted while being multiplexed. SOLUTION: On a transmission side 1, an encoding means 10 for setting the kind of the spreading code and its polarity out of (n) pieces of spreading codes corresponding to the combination of data inputted from information channels from 12-1 to 12-k, spreading codes from 4-1 to 4-m designated out of (n) pieces of spreading codes, selecting means 5 and polarity inverting means from 6-1 to 6-m based on instruction for the polarities of selected spreading codes are provided. On a reception side 15, correlating means from 16-1 to 16-n between a received signal and (n) pieces of spreading codes and a decoding means 18 for performing decoding while identifying the state of coincidence or non-coincidence in the type of the spreading code selected on the transmission side and its polarity based on the correlated results are provided. The type of the spreading codes selected out of (n) pieces of spreading codes is made correspondent to the state of coincidence/non-coincidence in the polarity among the spreading codes.</p> |
