PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use this humidifier irrespective of sea levels by changing over a heating temperature mode to a humidification mode in a heating temperature mode when the time when the temperature of water in a water tank fails to reach a first setting temperature, exceeds the limit time after the temperature exceeds a second setting temperature relatively lower than the first setting temperature. SOLUTION: In the case when a humidifier is used in uplands at a low boiling point, the boiling point of water may fail to reach a heater change over reference temperature TB deg.C in some case. As a result, there is no automatic change over to a large electric power heating mode in humidification mode where it enters the large electric power heating mode in humidification mode. After the temperature exceeds T1 deg.C, confirmation is made (110) so as to see whether or not the time t2 of a second timer has elapsed. In the case when the time t2 of the second timer has elapsed, the humidifier is assumed to be used in the uplands, thereby forcibly switching over to the small electric power heating mode in humidification mode (116). It is, therefore, possible to prevent the generation of surplus vapor and inhibit useless consumption of electric power. |
