PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which has excellent preservability of the light resistance and heat resistance of a recorded image and skin and high sensitivity having absorption even in a near infrared region by using fluoran compound represented by a formula as a leuco dye. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material comprises a heat-sensitive color developing layer containing a leuco dye represented by a formula and developer for developing the dye at the time of heating on a support. As the support, woodfree paper, or paperboard is used in response to the purpose. Particularly, when so-called neutralized paper having hot water extraction pH of 6 to 9 is used, the stability is further excellent as compared with the case that acidic paper is used. To manufacture the material, compound represented by a formula as leuco dye, developer and the other assistant are bonded by using suitable various conventional bonding agent onto the support. An intermediate layer containing plastic spherical fine hollow particles made of thermoplastic resin is provided between the support and the developing layer. |
