<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scrap melting method which produced molten iron by melting the scrap in high efficiency while contriving a high-volume treatment and effective utilization of synthetic resin material and can produce a large quantity of exhaust gas having high calory and high utilizing value as gas for fuel and can execute the operation in a low manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The scrap as iron source, coke and synthetic resin material are charged into a shaft furnace from the furnace top, and pulverized fine coal or the pulverized fine coal and the synthetic resin material are blown from a combustion burner arranged in a tuyere part 2 and also, oxygen is blown from the circumference thereof and both are mixed in the high efficiency to rapidly burn the pulverized fine coal or the pulverized fine coal and the synthetic resin material. The scrap is melted with sensible heat of this combustion gas to produce the molten iron and also, the combustion gas is recovered together with gas generated with heat decomposition of the synthetic resin material as the gas for fuel without significantly executing secondary combustion in the furnace.</p> |
