<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detection method capable of promptly detecting motion and to easily transmit pictures when the motion is detected. SOLUTION: Data SDV based on signals SV from a device 1 are encoded by a block unit in an encoding part 20 and encoded data CS are stored in a memory part 30. The DC component data of respective blocks are read from the data CS of the memory part 30 and stored in the memory part 32. The data SDV based on the new signals SV are encoded in the encoding part 20 and the obtained data CS are stored in the memory part 30. In a control part 31, the difference amount of the DC component data of the memory part 30 to the DC component data of the memory part 32 is calculated for the respective blocks and integrated. It is judged that the motion is generated when an integrated value exceeds a prescribed value and communication data SD are generated based on the data CS of the memory part 30. The communication data SD are transmitted through an interface and a public communication channel to a prescribed transmission destination as transmission signals SS in a modem part 34.</p> |
