PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform on-column fluorometry for detecting fluorescence from sample components by radiating laser light onto a plurality of capillaries simultaneously. SOLUTION: A polyimide coating of each capillary is removed by a predetermined length at a predetermined position from an electrophoresis start point of a capillary gel 1, which is an irradiation part with laser. The capillary gel is fixedly orientated flat on a glass flat plate 3 with axes of capillaries kept in parallel. A laser light is turned to a parallel luminous flux by a first camera lens 4 and passed through an image-splitting prism splitting an image in the vertical direction and a combined filter 5 of four kings made correspond to the luminous flux forming the image. As a result, a fluorescent image is formed at a two-dimensional CCD camera 7 by a second camera lens 6. A predetermined relation is satisfied among the outer radius and inner radius of the capillaries, a refractive index of a medium outside the capillaries, refractive index of a material of the capillaries and refractive index of the gel, so that the laser light is refracted less by the capillaries and all of the capillaries with are irradiated a laser beam of a sufficient intensity. Accordingly, a high sensitivity, a high speed and a high throughput are realized simply. |
