PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SZ-twisting device equipped with a fiber-storing device, capable of producing an optical element fiber-SZ-twisted cable so that the light transmission characteristics of the cable are not deteriorated by friction during travel and so that the cable is not subjected to an excessively large tension in the SZ twisting process. SOLUTION: This SZ-twisting device equipped with a fiber-storing device has a fiber-storing device and a suitable type SZ-twisting device 4 disposed in the downstream of the fiber-storing device. The fiber-storing device contains two mutually faced fixed plates 9A, 9B disposed in parallel to each other, a stored fiber-rotating plate 9C rotatably disposed in the plain surface of its self plate and in parallel to the fixed plates between the fixed plates, plural fiber-guiding tubes 3 extended through passage holes 93 perforated at the corresponding circumferentially equally divided positions of each of the fixed plates 9A, 9B and the fiber-storing rotation plate 9C, fiber-guiding and air-supplying devices 2, 21, 22 for supplying and element fibers 1 to be twisted at the opening ends of the fiber guide tubes 3, and devices 91, 92 for reciprocally rotating the fiber-storing rotation plate 9C only as a suitable rotation angleθ.
