<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of a tape travel state without increasing the capacity of a ROM of a control microcomputer and varying timer set value with intermittent recording speed by providing a reel rotary sensor and a count means for the frequency of intermittent drive. SOLUTION: This device has an intermittent recording mode wherein a magnetic tape 4 is intermittently fed for recording. A payoff reel rotation sensor 15 and a take-up reel rotation sensor 16 generate pulses according to the rotations of payoff and take-up reel turntables 11 and 12 and send them out to the control microcomputer 14 of a counting means. The control microcomputer 14 inputs the pulses to count the number of turns by intermittent driving up to a specific number from the start of the intermittent recording mode. The feed of the magnetic tape 4 is stopped unless the payoff and take-up reel rotation sensors 15 and 16 generate output signals until the counted value reaches the specific value.</p> |
