PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive pigment-dispersed paste for electrodeposition coating material increased in disperse stability of pigment without having an adverse effect on electrodeposition coating film. SOLUTION: This pigment-dispersed paste for electrodeposition coating material contains a pigment component containing kaolin and a cationic water soluble resin for dispersing the pigment component and an aqueous medium. The kaolin used for the paste has -3 to 0.8μmol/m<2> acidity parameter and is included in an amount of at least 10wt.% kaolin in the pigment component.
