PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material free from a blocking phenomenon even under high temperature and high moisture conditions and with extremely long shelf life and excellent flexibility to equipment. SOLUTION: In a thermal recording material consisting of a thermally color forming layer containing a leuco compound and a developer formed on a support, a protecting layer composed mainly of a resin and a crosslinking agent, both of which show the same crosslinking reaction is provided on the thermally color forming layer as a front face protecting layer and also on the rear face of the support as a rear face protecting layer. In addition, the resin having nothing to do with the crosslinking reaction is added to the rear face protecting layer and/or the front face protecting layer. |
