PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically check the plotting result in a printer test method where the plotting data are developed in a bit map memory. SOLUTION: The printer test method includes a plotting control part 2 which develops the plotting data received from a host 1 in a bit map memory 3, and a print mechanism 4 which prints the plotting data developed in the memory 3. In this test method, a step is prepared to transfer the plotting data received from the host 1 for test to the part 2 together with a step where the plotting data received from the host 1 are developed in the memory 3 via the part 2, a step where the plotting data developed in the memory 3 are transferred to the host 1 via the part 2 in response to the instruction of the host 1, and a step where the transferred data are compared with the correct data by the host 1. |
