The window frame (1) has a fixed frame part (2) and a movable frame part (3). A rail (4) is provided for the uppermost metal peg and a rail (5) for the lowermost peg, each on a single side of the movable frame part. The movable frame part, during movement between the closed and open states, executes a translation in a horizontal direction. The movable frame part can execute a rotary movement around an axis which coincides with the lowest post (6) of the movable frame part.
