PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent diversified defects by obtaining operating information for each video reproducing device. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of a request number from a CPU 73, a CPU 21 reads a reproduction list written with which video deck 52 is under reproduction from a RAM 23 and selects a video deck not in reproduction. Then an integrating operating time table is read for each video deck 52 written in a NV(nonvolatile) RAM 24 and a video deck 52 with a shortest integrated operating time is selected among video decks 52 not in reproduction.
