PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable not only individual service but also broadcasting service in global scale and further to enable information communication with cost performance and high reliability. SOLUTION: A base system network is composed of a connection type network 1, connectionless type network 2 and broadcasting type network 3. A multi-subscriber network 4 such as a bidirectional CATV network laid out for each zone is connected to these base system networks 1, 2 and 3 and subscriber terminals are connected to these multi-subscriber networks 4 and 40 directly or through a satellite repeater network 5. When a communication request is generated from any subscriber terminal, at the multi-subscriber networks 4 and 40, communication is performed by selecting any network corresponding to the communication request out of the respective networks 1, 2 and 3 consisting of the base system network. |
