PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a film of good outer appearance without unevenness in coating and the like in a continuous coating method for a metal web in which a die coater is used. SOLUTION: In a method for continuously coating a resin coating material on the surfaces of metal webs 1 transferred continuously, a die coater 2 with the conditions of the diameter of a manifold 3 of 20-40mm, the round length (b) of a slit 4 of 20-300mm and the slit opening degree (c) of the slit 4 of 330-1100μm is used, and the die coater 2 is so disposed as to form a clearance (d) of 6-200μm between a die lip 5 at the end of the slit 4 and the surface of the metal web 1. A resin coating material having the solid content concentration of 40-70wt.% and the normal temperature viscosity of 50-1,000cp is used, and the resin coating material is fed into the die coater 2 under the pressurizing condition not beyond 5kg/cm<2> , disposed by the manifold 3 and pushed out in the film shape from the slit 4 onto the surface of the metal web 1.
