MAGNETIC THIN FILM AND THIN FILM MAGNETIC ELEMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the title magnetic thin film in low magnetostriction constant having the magnetic characteristics hardly affected by the magnetic element manufacturing process while sustaining the high saturated magnetization of a magnetic layer, soft magnetism, one axis in surface magnetic anisotropy controllability within a magnetic element coping with miniaturization. SOLUTION: The title magnetic thin film is made of a transistion metal comprising Fe and Co, either one at least out of four B group elements such as B, C, Si, Sn, etc., a rare earth element including Sm and indispensable impurities and compound of a magnetic body satisfying the following composition formula as well as whole or part of the composite region is shared by amorphous region. The composition formula is (Fe1- XCoX)1- Y(B1- Z4BZ)YREa where 4B represents 4B group element, RE represents rare earth element including Sm.
