PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to securely prevent a clearance gap from being generated between the inner peripheral face of the upper end in the skirt wall of a metallic container lid shell and the outer peripheral edge of a synthetic resin liner, when producing the container lid. SOLUTION: A null 8 is formed at the upper part of a skirt wall and a circular recess 26 continuously extending to the peripheral direction is formed at the upper part than the null 8 or the inner diameter of the upper zone than the null 8 is made smaller than the inner diameter of the valley of the null and gradually narrowed toward the upper part. The outer peripheral face of the lower end of an external sleeve 38 of a pushing tool 32 for forming the liner 28 is substantially positioned to contact the lower end of the upper region than the circular recess 26 or the knurl 8. |
