PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light bicycle with auxiliary power unit at low cost, in which the motive force can assist man power. SOLUTION: A tubular or cylindrical hollow torque transmitting member 8 is fitted to the periphery of a crank shaft 4, in which a base end of a pedal arm 5 is integrally installed at both ends thereof, freely to be relatively rotated, and a drive sprocket 12 is integrally fitted in one end of the hollow torque transmitting member 8. A motor one-way clutch 14 is provided in the hollow torque transmitting member 8 so as to be adjacent to the drive sprocket 12, and the crank shaft 4 is connected to the other end of the hollow torque transmitting member 8 through a leg-power one-way clutch 10, and an input end of the motor one-way clutch 14 is connected to the output of a motor direct current motor 20 through reduction gears 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and a magnetostrictive torque sensor 28 is arranged in the periphery of the hollow torque transmitting member 8. |
