<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the responsiveness of detection of an impact by making an operating member operate from a non-operating position by a prescribed impact force or more and by actuating the operating member to the non- operating position with a spring and a magnet. SOLUTION: At the time when no impact force acts, composite force of set load of a spring 13 and set magnetic force of a magnet 14 acts on a swing member 12 and thereby the member 12 is made to stand still at an initial position C, while contacts are brought into a state of non-continuity by a projecting piece 126. Accordingly, an ignition device does not operate. When another vehicle collides with a user's own vehicle and the impact force being equal to or larger than the composite force acts, for instance, the member 12 swings to a final position around a pivotally supporting axis 121 as fulcrum, the projecting piece 126 withdraws from an intermediate position thereof, the contacts are brought into continuity and an impact is detected. When the time of the continuity between the contacts becomes a prescribed one, the ignition device operates and an air bag mechanism is made to operate. In this way, false detection of the impact force is prevented and the responsiveness of detection is made excellent.</p> |
