<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high self-servo effect in connection with a disc brake having the self-servo effect. SOLUTION: Pads 20 and 22 are disposed while being faced to a disc rotor 12. The pads 20 and 22 are held by a mounting 16 and a cylinder 18. The mounting 16 regulates the displacement of the pads 20 and 22 in the radial direction of the disc rotor 12. Prag rotation torque acting on the pads 20 and 22 at the time of braking is converted into moment causing the cylinder 18 to be rotated in the radial direction of the disc rotor. Inclined surfaces 20d, 22d, 18b and 24b are formed in the areas where the pads 20 and 22 are brought into contact with the cylinder 18 or a hydraulic piston 24.</p> |
