<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic toner excellent in high-speed low- temp. fixability, anti-hot-offsetting property, smearing and aggregation resistances and to provide a heat fixing method. SOLUTION: This toner consisting of essentially a bonding resin, a colorant and a releasing agent has a temp. at which the modulus (G') of storage elasticity begins to lower in the temp. region of 45-65 deg.C. When the common logarithm of the viscosity of this toner is plotted to temp. and the viscosity at 121 deg.C and that at 118 deg.C are represented byη'121 andη'118 , respectively, the valueαrepresented by the equationα=(1/3)×(logη'121 -logη'118 ) is -0.065 to -0.035. When the common logarithm of the modulus of storage elasticity of this toner is plotted to temp. and the modulus of storage elasticity at 200 deg.C and that at 197 deg.C are represented by G'200 and G'197 , respectively, the valueβrepresented by the equationβ=(1/3)×(logG'200 -logG'197 ) is >=-0.025.</p> |
