PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color copying machine and color printer, equipped with a toner recycle mechanism which prevents image quality change even in the case it is used over a long term, and an image forming method using it. SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with developing units A1-D1 for developing latent images, formed on a photoreceptor 1, by using color toners of different tones and black toner, a transfer device 12 for transferring the developed toner images to a recording material P, and a cleaner 16 for clearing away transfer residual toners on the photoreceptor 1. The image forming device is provided with the mechanism which supplies the toners recovered by the cleaner 16 to the black developing unit A1 of a developing device so that the supply ratio to the black toner ((recovered toner)×100/(recovered toner + black toner)) is 60wt.% or less. |
