PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find out the focus state of a photographic lens in a different focus detecting region, on the basis of the focus state on a selected object by inhibiting the driving of the photographic lens, in accordance with the focusing state of the focus detecting region changed by the selecting means, at the time of changing this focus detecting region. SOLUTION: A focusing deciding part 7 decides whether the photographic lens 100 is in a focusing state or a front or rear focusing one, based on a defocusing amount calculated by a focus detecting/calculating part 6. A focus state display part 8 executes a display to inform a photographer of the focus state of the photographic lens 100, based on the results of the decision by the focusing deciding part 7. A lens drive control part 10 drives the lens 100, based on the defocusing amount calculated by the focus detecting/calculating part 6, when instructions from an AF operation execution instructing part 9 are of the execution of an AF operation. At this time, the lens 100 is inhibited from driving or redriven, in accordance with a selecting signal from a part 3 for selecting a detecting region used and a focusing state signal from the focus detecting/calculating part 6. |
