PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a viewer to immediately know the names of the respective main parts of scenes in case of appreciating the scenes through spectacles for sightseeing by fetching the character data parts for the scenes of the direction where the spectacles for sightseeing are directed from the character (name) data relating to the scenes of the place, displaying the character images on the display means in the spectacles for sightseeing and superposing the character images and the images of the actual scene data in such a manner that the characters are superimposed in the images of the actual scenes. SOLUTION: The spectacles for sightseeing have a memory 22 in which the character data is stored, a CPU 21 which is inputted with the information on the angle of elevationθand azimuthϕfrom a detector and outputs the stored address values of the character data according to this state to the memory 22, a display means 24 which displays the characters meeting the character data outputted from the memory 22 and an optical system which superposes the character images and the images of the actual scenes in such a manner that the characters are superposed in the images in the actual scenes.
