摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance lubrication performance by disposing a second gear part of each pinion gear at the outer side in the axial direction of each side gear, forming each space communicated with the meshing portion of the aforesaid second gear and the meshing portion between a first gear part and each side gear, and forming an opening leading oil in an oil sump in the aforesaid spaces in the differential gear case. SOLUTION: Three side openings 59 and 61 each which are communicated with spaces 53 and 55, are formed in the cover 7 of a differential gear case 3 and a casing main body 5, and an outer circumferential opening 62 is formed in the outer circumferential surface of the main body 5. In this case, the side openings 59 and 61 are disposed in the inner side in the radial direction of the addemdum of each pinion gear 35 and 37, and also in the inner side in the radial direction of the tooth meshing part between each first gear 39 and 47 and each side gear 15 and 13. By this constitution, when the differential gear is at rest, let oil flow into a space 57 through the spaces 53 and 55 from the side openings 59 and 61 immersed in oil sump and an outer circumferential opening 62. In addition, when the differential gear 1 is rotated, let splashed oil flow into the differential gear case 3 through the openings 62, 59 and 61 so as to be fed to a lubrication part.
