<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an artificial knee joint having a bearing insert easily attached to a base plate a shin bone component by a small power, and thereby to reduce load of a surgeon. SOLUTION: This artificial knee joint consists of a thighbone component F to be fixed to the thighbone side and a surface type modular shin bone side component T, where a rear end of an upper side 10 of a base plate P and a rear end of a lower side of a bearing insert I are provided with corresponding grooves 9, 9 and 16, 16, which are tapered off to the horizontal axes of the parts I and P. At the same time, the bearing insert I and base plate P are provided on the front ends with corresponding hooks (long groove 6 and long projection 15).</p> |
