PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a life, improve sealing performance, and stabilize a friction characteristic and a wear characteristic by forming a seal, which slidingly touches a rotation shaft passing through a carbon box and seals the carbon, out of a specified lubricating rubber composition. SOLUTION: A seal 3, which slidingly touches a rotation shaft 7 passing through the carbon box 4 of an electrophotographic device and seals carbon 8 in a box 4, is formed of a complex, which is made by fitting an annular metal frame onto the periphery of a V-ring-like lubricating rubber ring on the inner peripheral side of which a sealing lip is formed out of lubricating rubber. Where the lubricating rubber ring contains 10 to 100 parts by weight of tetrafuluoroethylene resin powder, and 5 to 80 parts by weight of spherical graphite to 100 parts by weight of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber. It is desirable to adopt resin powder which is formed by, after the completion of emulsion polymerization of the tetrafuluoroethylene resin powder, coprecipitating the same and carbon material causing the carbon material to produce on the surface thereof. |
